webquest, metacognition, automaticity and cognitive load.
http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=115255
Possible was to foster metacognition:
Learning how to learn.
Constructing connection between previous and new knowledge.
Promote learning environment.
Improve memory and attention with cognitive training games.
Promoting metacognition through negotiated assessment.
Engaging the students in activities that require reflection.
Group work and discussion time.
Identify what the students will be learning.
Explain them why it is meaningful or important what the students will be learning by giving relatives examples.
A brief description about what will be taught.
Help monitor progress, and then help students reflect on the assignment.
Explain them what they will have to achieve, the goals.
In your own words, what is “automaticity” and “cognitive load?”
Automaticity
Is the state which an individual perform common task without having to use a great effort or concentration. It is an spontaneous ability that we do every day, they are common activities, such as walking, speaking, riding and driving a car. It´ s an spontaneous reaction or stimulus which we don´t have to use a great effort to do it, you know have to do it because you get this by practice, repetition and learning.
Cognitive load:
This is the capacity of the brain to understand something, to perceive something, to problem solving, or juggling things in memory, where the total amount of the brain is imposed of working memory, and the volume of learning that is expected of the students in a particular unit of time.

Methodology ll
I will give each student a card which they will have to write or try to guess the correct coordinating or subordinang conjuction, putting vowels to complete the correct words. In this activity everyone has to participate, each student has to tell what word she/he has completed. Then I will write sentences on the blackboard using coordinating conjuntions and subordinating conjuntions which students have to choose the correct conjuction , for that they will have to work in pairs, so everyone has to participate.

The method used in this activity is communicative language teaching.
Concept map about techniques and principles in language teaching
Concept map about techniques and principles in language teaching
Silent way
This is the method which learners have to learn by themselves, learners seem to be responsible by their own learning, so students work independent by their own, producing their own learning .For example if a teacher says that students have to create a glogster they will have to do it by themselves, producing their own learning process.
The teacher is an engineer or a technician,
Only the learner can do the learning.
Students learn by their own.
Advantages:
The students can produce their own learning without the help of anybody
The student can work independently.
Disadvantages: Students might get lost without the helping of the teacher
It doesn`t produce an interactive and social environment.
Desuggestopedia
This is the method which teacher use to helps their students to eliminate the feeling that they can’ t be successful in leaning a second language, for example the teacher interact with their students, gives clear instructions, interacting and showing interesting about the learning process of the students, teachers explain to their students clearly if they don`t understand something, helping to the students in their learning.
Advantages: Elimination of those things that accomplish the students to get a successful learning.
Help students overcome the barriers to learning
One of the ways the students mental reserves are stimulated is through integration of the fine arts.
Content based, task based, and participatory approaches.
-This is the method that the teacher scaffolds the linguistic content, making adjustments if necessary, which students learn to see themselves as social and political beings, participating in learning a second language and interacting with their partners, for example if a teacher gives an activity to the students, they will participate in a social environment which authentic materials, tasks and cognitively challenging language are involved.
Gives students the opportunities to practice using communicative function.
The participation , interaction and social environment are essentials for the learning process.
Disadvantages: The students can feel ashamed in some situations, they work better in an individually work, because some of their partner don`t work.
Communicative language teaching
This method consist in the communicative function fo language, foster classroom interaction, for example students in the class can make mistakes, because errors are tolerated, expressing their own ideas and opinion, establishing an social an communicative interaction.
The social context is important
Students can express their own ideas and opinions
The interaction is pretty important
Different games are used to establish interaction, communication and participation.
Disadvantages: some students tend to be shy and they can`t speak aloud, and they feel a little nervous about it.
What is the main function of this four principles? What method would you use for teaching a second language?
What do you think about these principles? Think for some minutes... How do you relate them to your experience as student? Did you observe then in your practicum? Did you include them in your lesson plans? If not, How can you integrate them? What advantages and disadvantages do you foresee?
I think that these principles are pretty important because are the essential methods that a teacher must to use in teaching a second language, such as community language teaching which is pretty important that a teacher and a students have an interaction between them, where students can work and groups, communicative language teaching which the interaction and communicative function is important, the content based where the students learn to see themselves as a social and political beings, and the leaning strategy training and multiple intelligences, which the job’s teacher is to teach learning,
Yes I observed them in my practicum, because my experience about the classes that I did ,I included some of this methods, integrating them in my lesson plan,

feedback
Feedback: explanation.
The Mississippi Skeiks are coming to our town¡
The Mississippi Skeiks are coming to our town next Tuesday, as part of their “Rock my Boat” tour. The tour has been a total blast all over the country, and even on some parts of Canada¡
Bo Carter the vocalist of the group, expressed to be very interesting in playing on one of America`s fun-needing county.
Mississippi Skeiks have prepared also some covers like” Happy days are here again” of Ben Selvin, “ Puttin on the Ritz” of Harry Richman and more top songs from de decade¡
The group promises every Maycomb will sing and dance like there is no tomorrow. Tickets are available for sale next Maycomb`s primary school. Prices goes from 10 dollars to 75 dollars.
This is one in a lifetime chance, don`t you miss it. Skeiks are waiting for you¡
Assessment criteria:
1) Quality of ideas( content, setting, critical thinking)
The setting is related with the book to kill a mockingbird, the town called Maycomb( Alabama), south of North America, but I would have included a context, specially society, culture, historical period, fiction related with the book, with themes talking about rape, racial discrimination, destruction of the innocence, class, courage, compassion, and roles of the human race.
2) Organization ( test type, linking devices, paragraphs, sentences type)
Test type: a piece of news, but It’ s missing the subtitle.
Linking devices: what I found is: as part of, even on, also.
Linking devices have been absent, to make contrasting points: although, however, nevertheless, yet, while, despite, even if, at the same time, but, in spite of.
To express cause: because of, owing to, due to, .
To express effect: therefor, thus, as a result,.
To add more point on a topic: also, apart from, too, furthermore, what is more.
To express reality: actually, in fact, as a matter of fact.
Paragraphs: the type used in this notice is persuasion, I think is very interesting because is used for capture the attention of people and motivate them to buy tickets for the concert.
However is only one paragraph, you should have used more than one.
Sentence types:
The Mississippi Skeiks are coming to our town next Tuesday, as part of their” Rock my Boat” tour. Complex sentence.
The tour has been a total blast all over the country, and even on some parts of Canada¡ Compound sentence.
Bo Carter, the vocalist of the group, expressed to be very interesting in playing on one of America’s most fun-needing county. Simple sentence.
Mississippi Skeiks have prepared also some covers like “Happy days are here again” of Ben Selvin, “ Puttin on the Ritz” of Harry Richman and more top songs from the decade. Compound sentence.
The group promises every Maycomb inhabitant will sing and dance like is there no tomorrow. Compound sentence.
Tickets are available for sale next to Maycomb’s primary school. Compound sentence.
Prices goes from 10 dollars to 75 dollars. Simple sentence.
This is one in a lifetime chance, don`t you miss it. Simple and imperative sentence.
Skeiks are waiting for you¡. Simple and exclamatory sentence.
You included sentence types but I also would have included compound- complex sentences.
3) Language( grammar, vocabulary, rhetorical devices)
I think that grammar is ok, but it is not very well structured, because there are not linking devices.
Vocabulary is ok but I would have included vocabulary related with the social context, cultural and historical period of the book (South of North America) , for example words related with racism, rape, innocence and fiction.
Rhetorical devices:
The group promises every Maycomb inhabitant will sing and dance like there is not tomorrow. Comparison.
“ Happy days are here again”. Alliteration.
Prices goes from 10 dollars to 75 dollars. Repetition.
I did not find some much rhetorical devices like metaphors (it directly says something is something else for example: your eyes are two stars, hyperbole( the use of an exaggeration) , personification (giving human traits to non-living objects), so you should have included some of these rhetorical devices.
However my score is a 7.

July 21st
Hello Anita
How are you? I hope you are ok. I can`t believe my trip is almost over. I came to Easter Island just two weeks ago. I was with a group from the university. We stayed with families that live on the island. We studied the stone statues, called moai, and the cave paintings. I really learned a lot. I am tired, but I loved every minute of my trip.
Take care, Margaret.
PS: On Easter Island, Iorana means “hello”.
May 2nd
Hi, Luis!
How has your vacations been? My Hawaiian vacation just ended, and I am very well rested! I spent my whole vacation at a spa. Every day for a week, I exercised, did yoga, meditated, and ate vegetarian food. I also went swimming and snorkeling. I feel fantastic! I am looking forward to seeing you soon.
Love Debbie.
January 3rd
Dear Michelle,
What have you been up to? Alaska is terrific! I just returned from a trip to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. There were six people on the trip. We camped outside for ten days. Then we took rafts to the Arctic Ocean. I saw a lot of wildlife, including some caribou. Now, I am going to Anchorage.
See you soon!
Kevin
Then I will ask them about what each person did on her or his vacation. So everybody will have to participate like a whole class.
Then I will explain the structure of a letter, so I will explain them how to write a letter to a friend and I will give to the students a piece of paper which includes :
Heading
In a friendly, informal letter, this is where you write the date. This goes at the top of the page on the right-hand side. You should write at the least the day and month. You may include the day of the week and the year if you choose. Some people write their address here too, but you do not have to.
Greeting
This is where you address your friend for the first time in the letter. It is very similar to greeting someone face to face.
Sample Greetings: Dear Juan, Hello James,
Greetings Simone, Hola Juanita,
Body
The body of the letter is where you communicate with your friend. This is where you ask how they are doing and tell them what you are doing and feeling. In a friendly letter, it is polite to begin by asking your reader about their life. After that, you may tell them something about you.
Sample sentence starters:
Ask about your friend:
How are you?
How has your summer been?
What have you been up to?
Are you playing any sports?
Have you been traveling?
And tell them about you:
I went to Camp.
My summer has been fun.
This summer I…
I have been doing…
With my family, I went to..
Closing and Signature:
The Closing is where you end your letter and say good-bye. After that, you write the Signature (your name).
After that each students will have to write his/her own letter, using simple past, heading, greeting, body, and closing, talking about what they did on her/his vacation to a friend .so they will have to apply their previous knowledge of vocabulary, and grammar, Then each student will have to share his/her letter with some classmate focusing on their speaking, so I will help them to speak fluently , loudly and correctly. After that each of them will have to speak in front of the class about the letter what each student wrote.
How will I assess performance?
They will have to participate, applying their previous knowledge to write and create a letter and then they will have to work in pairs speaking each other about their vacations. After that they will have to speak about the letters that they wrote, presenting it in front of the class . I will focus on rhyme and stress in speaking.
How will I enhance retention?
I will help them to practice their speaking, interacting with them , producing an optima environment, which students can show interesting and motivation.
Test questions from today’s objectives
A test which students will have to demonstrate their cognitive skills , applying previous knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening, by the creation of any communicative tests and they will have to speak it.
Checklist:
Did students know my objectives?
Yes, they knew from the beginning because I told them in the introduction about the objectives of this lesson.
Did students actively engaged with new material?
Yes, they showed interesting about the activity which they were motivated talking about their vacations by the creation of the letters.
Did students get feedback on the performance ance?
Yes because there was participation, interaction, motivation, there was an optima environment where everybody worked in groups interacting between them, applying their previous knowledge to new situations.
